Difference between metric ton, short ton, and long ton

Long ton/ British ton/ Imperial ton: Long ton is equal to 2240 lb (1016 kg) which is used in the Commonwealth countries, such as Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.

Short ton/ U.S. ton: Short ton equal to 2000 lb (907.2 kg) which is used in the  USA.

Metric ton/ tonne:  Metric ton equal to 2204 lb (1000 kg)
